BirthDayReminder (SDR) collects, stores, and uses data to provide personalized
celebration reminders.
2. Authentication & Registration: The app uses Google Sign-In to securely authenticate users. Your mobile phone number is collected following Google authentication to link your identity to relevant celebration records and filter group-specific content.
3. Celebration Data: The app stores friend details, including
names, phone numbers, birth dates, and wedding anniversary dates to facilitate
reminders.
4. Purpose of Use: Data, including basic Google profile information (such as your unique account ID), is processed solely to verify your identity, schedule system notifications, and personalize the event feed based on your group affiliations.
5. WhatsApp Integration: Recipient phone numbers are used only to
launch the WhatsApp application with pre-filled celebratory messages at your
request.
6. Cloud Storage: Friend records, authentication tokens, and uploaded profile photos are securely hosted on Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Storage) for cross-device synchronization.
7. On-Device Storage: Your registration details, Google authentication state, and group preferences are stored locally on your device to ensure a seamless and responsive experience.
8. Data Control: Administrators have full authority to
add, modify, or delete records, while users can update their registered number
to refresh group access.
9. Security and Contact: Industry-standard security through Google Identity Services and Firebase is employed; for data deletion requests or privacy queries, please contact your SDR group administrator.
